We are celebrating our marriage at the beautiful Châteauhotel De Havixhorst in De Schiphorst in The Netherlands.
During his early twenties, this is where Martijn used to work part-time - serving at other peoples' weddings. The many hours of polishing silverware and making freshly pressed orange juice (by hand!) are long gone, but the fond memories of all the wedding parties remain. Therefore, it feels quite special to have our own wedding party at this location.

Thursday, August 6th
Meppel is the main city in the geographic area in which both the wedding venue De Havixhorst and Martijn's childhood home are located. Every Thursday during 6 weeks in summer, a free of charge mini festival is being built up in Meppel with live music, food and drinks on the streets! On August 6th, this mini festival is Amsterdam themed as Meppel is sometimes called a (very small!) version of Amsterdam, and many people say this day is the best one out of the six!
Friday, August 7th
If you are in the area already on the Friday, we invite you for a simple dinner with drinks (think burgers & beers) at Martijn's dad's home in IJhorst. Join us for a toast to warm up before the big party!
